Ray taught for many decades in the studio, at the college, at the Mendocino Art Center, in Japan and Oklahoma. He taught mosaics, painting, drawing, sculpture. A working artist was able to earn a living from teaching, commissions, and sales. It was never enough, but as it turned out, just enough.
